Have you changed careers? What was your first career?
Since I was a child, I have been deeply interested in electronics. So most of my experience was related to the electronics field. My first serious job was in the biggest radio broadcast centre in Russia.
Why do you like your job:
Balancing is the mix of a lot of subjects - you need to know physics, electronics, math and much much more. I really like to see how these subjects cross at very unexpected points.
Who was the biggest influence in your career:
One of my professors at university told me that an engineer shouldn't know everything, but he should be able to figure everything out. I've followed this principle my whole life.
Favourite movie: The Green Mile
On Sunday mornings you can usually find me: In one of the parks or at home, listening to music.
What would you sing at karaoke night: I am a terrible singer, but if I were to, it would be "Imagine" by John Lennon
