Vlad came to Canada in 2016, bringing with him a technician diploma in Computing Machinery, Complexes, Systems and Nets, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He initially settled in Manitoba before relocating to the Greater Vancouver area. Vlad chose to pursue a career in HVAC testing and balancing for its focus on precision, accountability, and measurable system performance.
Why did you choose to work in your industry: I chose the HVAC industry because it combines technical problem-solving with real, measurable impact. As a testing and balancing technician, I enjoy making sure systems perform exactly as designed, improving comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality for building occupants.
What effect do you want to have on your industry with your work: I aim to contribute to higher standards of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in HVAC. By delivering precise testing and balancing, I help systems perform optimally, reduce energy waste, and enhance comfort and air quality.
Who was the biggest influence in your career: My father has had the greatest influence on my career. His example of consistency, integrity, and commitment to quality continues to guide how I approach my work.
